Robert Henry Foote

Robert Henry Foote, beloved husband, father, Papaw passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2016 at the age of 70. He was born on August 3, 1946 in Deridder, LA to the late Woodrow and Nona Foote.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Martha, and sons, who were the pride of his heart, Robert Keith Foote (wife Heather Muffoletto Foote); David Alan Foote (wife Dr. Nora Richardson Foote); step children, Justin Leonard Petty (wife Aubrey Juarez Petty); Stephanie Petty Southall (husband Cason Southall); grandchildren, Blaise Foote, Jack Foote, Carter Foote, Hayleigh Richardson, Hannah Richardson, Michael Southall, Stephen Southall, Mackenzie Southall and Rainey Southall; brother, Jerry Foote (wife Brenda Foote).

He was preceded in death by his loving first wife, Jeanne Anderson Foote, his parents, brother, Tommy Foote, and his dear Aunt Joyce and Uncle Jack Earl.

He retired from Carter Chambers, after 44 years of dedicated service. He lived in Lake Charles, LA for 34 years, before the company transferred him to Baton Rouge, where he enjoyed another 10 years of employment. He loved nothing better than spending time with family and friends. Everyone loved his impeccable character, his sharp sense of humor, and his loving and generous spirit. He will be greatly missed by a host of dear family and friends. We want to thank Bridgeway Hospice and Home Instead, and special friends from Istrouma Baptist Church for their love and care during these difficult days.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, November 18, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jeff Ginn will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday will be from 6:30 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.

Pallbearers for services will be Calvin Jaetzold, Denny Clark, Robert Guillory, Al Grabert, Art Garcia, and Dwight Griffin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Chambers, Gary Barnes, Mike Earl, Randy Talbert, Gary Scroggs and Roger Freeze.
