Robert Lee “Bobby” McDonald, II, 69, of Westlake died Wednesday, January 30, in a local hospital.
Mr. McDonald was born in Jennings, LA, lived many years in California and has lived most of his life in Westlake. He was a graduate of Westlake High School. He was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason. Bobby loved music. He was a talented musician, vocalist and song writer with a beautiful voice. During his younger years he was the lead singer for the band, The Decibels. They played venues in the Lake Charles area. He was gifted with a love of life. He adored his three children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to honor his memory, two daughters, Nicole McDonald Chiasson and husband Curt of Raceland, LA and Natali McDonald Robichaux and husband Ray of Schriever, LA; one son, Robert Lee McDonald, III and wife Christina of Lake Worth, FL; mother, Wanda Brown McDonald of Westlake; nine grandchildren, Brenner Vincent, Evan Chiasson, Hudson Chiasson, Randi Plaisance, Brooke Plaisance, Zachary Robichaux, Jacqueline Robichaux; Tillman Robichaux and Kaiden McDonald; two brothers, Dan McDonald and Shawn McDonald and wife Amber of Westlake; one sister, Brenda Pruitt and husband Chuck of Westlake and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee McDonald.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, February 04, 2019 at Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Arthur under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Marcus Wade will officiate. Visitation Sunday will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
