Robert Edward Newman, Sr.

Iowa – Robert Edward Newman, Sr., born on April 24, 1951, son of the late George Calvin and Maxie Wedgeworth Newman, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at the age of 70.
Robert drove trucks, and worked as a tankerman on the tugboats for many years. He enjoyed mechanic work and being with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Margaret Newman; daughter, Maxine Newman; sons, Robert E. Newman, Jr.; Donald Newman, and Daniel Newman; siblings, Mary Busby; Maxine Marsh; George Newman; Otis Newman; Martha Cutting, and Hugh Mac Newman.
Survivors are his children, Angelo Newman (Shellie); Edward Holland (Colleen); Eunice Thomas Newman; Tricia Jean Newman; step-children, Debbie Holland, and Brian Bellard; sisters, Laurie Newman Guillory, and Vickie LeBleu; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 12 p.m., with Otis “O.B.” Marsh officiating in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
