Robert Lee Parker Jr. passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Lake Charles. He was a very kind and considerate man who truly loved people, children, and life itself.
Robert enjoyed many simple pleasures-BBQing, fixing things (especially televisions), and working with technology. He had a lifelong passion for radars and police scanners and was always eager to talk about the military. He loved good conversation and was an attentive listener who made everyone feel valued.
A proud veteran, Robert loved to dress well and represent his veteran community with dignity. The holidays were especially close to his heart. Christmas brought him great joy, but the New Year was his absolute favorite time of celebration.
He had a gentle spirit and a deep love for animals, often feeding the raccoons and rabbits in his backyard-sometimes even by hand. Robert also loved studying and discussing the Bible, and his faith in the Lord was steady and sincere.
Family meant everything to him. He cherished his brothers, his extended family, and held a special love for his two stepdaughters.
Robert is survived by his Niece Juanita Granger; nephew Steve Parker; and two stepdaughters Joann Willis and Penney Vandenburg.
A graveside service in honor of Robert will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
Robert will be remembered for his warmth, his kindness, and the gentle way he touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
