Robert Carl Westfall

DeRidder- Robert Carl Westfall, 74, passed away in his residence on Friday, January 3, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Born in Many, Robert was the son of the late Robert and Eva (Wells) Westfall. He spent twelve years in Mount Carmel before moving to Peason for six years. Robert then moved to Rosepine where he lived for over thirty years before settling in DeRidder for the remainder of his life. He married Dorothy Gimnich on August 21, 1964. Robert was a member of First Pentecostal Church and enjoyed several hobbies, particularly hunting for old things and making arrow heads.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Westfall of DeRidder; children, Anthony Westfall and wife, Junie of Riegelwood, NC, Jonathan Westfall and wife, Becky of Lexington, SC, Robert “Bobby” Westfall of Chula Vista, CA and Dana Westfall of DeRidder; sister, Rachel Berel of Rosepine, LA. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and his three adorable dogs.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in First Pentecostal Church of DeRidder and will continue Monday from 8 a.m. until service time. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the church; Rev. Zale Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
