Robert Dale Whitfill

Robert Whitfill, 82, passed away on September 11, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. Mr. Whitfill was born and raised in Plainview, TX. During high school, he met his first wife. After graduation, for a short time, he attended Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, TX. During the early years, they lived in Seagraves, TX, Hobbs, NM, Hereford, TX, and back to Hobbs, NM. He then moved to Seminole, TX for a short time and from late 1972 to early 1973 he moved to Houma, LA. In 1976, he moved back to his hometown of Plainview, TX. He met his second wife in the singles group at their church, Calvery Temple, and in November of 1976, they were married. In 1979, they moved to Houston, TX, making it their home for the next 46 years.

Mr. Whitfill’s passion was living life for Jesus, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and automobiles.

Mr. Whitfill leaves to honor his memory, his wife of 48 years, Jean Hicks Whitfill of Houston, TX; sons, Bryan Dale Whitfill and wife, Robyn of Houston, TX, Bradly Coe Whitfill and wife Holly of Clear Lake, TX, Christopher Stoneking and fiancé, Kim Pham of San Diego, CA; daughter, Pamela Jane Hill and husband, David of Vinton, LA; seven grandchildren, Jessica Hill Parker and husband, Elijah of Vinton, LA, Joshua Samuel Hill of Vinton, LA, Jacob Mookini and wife, Alex of San Diego, CA, Rae Marie Creguer and husband, Jeremiah, Kammie Metters, Ryan Metters and Brittany Junglen and husband, John; 13 great grandchildren, Zeauxi Hill, Phoebe Anderson, Jaxson Anderson, Tucker Hill, Thoren Parker, Elyah Park, Theodore Hill, Tommy Hill, Noble Creguer, Piper Creguer, Tara Vela, Khloe Junglen and Parker Junglen; brother, Gary Lynn Whitfill of Lumberton, TX; sister in law, Debra Gutierrez and husband, Daniel of Houston, TX; and lifelong friend, Jackie Broaddus.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bryce Kevin Whitfill; grandson, Isaac Fox Hill; brothers, Richard Whitfill and Raymond Whitfill; sister-in-law, Jan Whitfill and sister-in-law, Clarycia “Dee” Whitfill.

Funeral services for Mr. Whitfill will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Christian Life Church in Vinton, LA. Family and friends can gather to honor his memory from 2:00 PM until the time of service in the church.
