Robin Marie Scalisi died on January 28, 2014 in her home in Lafayette, La., one day short of her 40th birthday.
Graveside services will be in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 12 p.m. Visitation will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home Friday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Born January 29, 1974 in Lake Charles, La., she graduated from LaGrange Senior High and studied at McNeese State University. Her favorite companion was her dog, Marcena.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Scalisi of Lafayette; maternal grandparents, Florence Hillier & Wesley Stephens Hillier; paternal grandparents, Mary Louise Dronet Kaough & Jerome Scalisi, all of Lake Charles.
Survivors are her mother, Mary Hillier Sewell & stepfather Alan Keith Sewell of Youngsville, La., daughter, Angel Cherie Scalisi of Lafayette; brother, Rev. Joey Scalisi, (Erin); niece, Katherine Scalisi; nephew, Andrew Scalisi, all of Arlington, TX.; uncle, Rodney Hutto & cousin, Alexis Hutto, both of Lake Charles.
As a kidney transplant recipient, she also advocated for The Gift of Life.
