Rodney Paul Simon, Jr.

Rodney Paul Simon Jr., 72, of Luling, LA died Monday, December 26, 2016 at a New Orleans, LA hospital after a brief illness.

Rodney was born in Rayne, LA on May 26, 1944 to Rodney and Audrey Simon Sr. He enjoyed music, sports trivia, and race horses. Rodney collected a vast music selection over the years from Elvis to Fats Domino just to name a few. He was known for joking, laughing, and cutting up.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Faye Simon of Luling, LA; three siblings, Michael Simon of Eunice, LA, Gail Simon Morris of Lake Charles, LA, and Tine Darnsteadt of Lake Charles, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas J. Simon.

 Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ritchie Cemetery. Deacon Glenn Viau will officiate services.
