Roger served in the United States Marine Corp, he was employed as airplane mechanic and work for several companies throughout his life. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
Roger is survived by his wife, Peggy Lewis; children, Stephen Matte (Stephanie), Brennan Matte (Hannah), Alicia Matte; grandchildren, Gaven, Jaycee, Jaylee, Brennan Edward, Layla Matte, James, Brayden, William, Huxley Henriksen.
Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa and there will be no formal services.
