Rogers John "Pete" Miller

Rogers John “Pete” Miller, born in Creole on April 15, 1940, son of the late Zavia and Emma Broussard Miller, passed away in a local care facility Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of eighty-four.

Pete was member of Christ the King Catholic Church and worked with his brother Clifford as a groundkeeper for Highland Memory Gardens and Prien Memorial Park.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Becky Miller (Joe), Tammy Miller (Dominic), Mike Miller (Becky) and Larry Miller (Lynn). Pete is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Irma Leger, June Miller, Virgie Primeaux, Eugene Miller, and Clifford Miller.

Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Eugene Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Friday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
