Ronald Brisendine

May 24, 1939 — December 2, 2017

A fine husband, father and family man went to live with his Lord in Heaven on December 02, 2017.  Ronnie was a happy and fun loving man with only good things to say about everyone with always a big smile on his face.  He was born in Arp, Tx. and lived in Sulphur, La for the past 38 years.  Ronnie served his country in the US Army right out of high school passing up an athletic scholarship.  He worked for Turner Industries for the past 50 years and held titles such as Pipefitter Fabricator, Project Superintendent, Planner-Estimator, Field Engineer and many other positions. He was known as the “Bris” on the job and he loved his work and his service was a rare commodity to the construction industry.   Aside from his family and work, his next love was hunting and wildlife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Thomas Brisendine, Sr. & Ila Mae Brisendine, sister, Joann Brisendine Crider, daughter, Ronda Rae Broussard and grandsons, Nicholas Scott Broussard & Michael Bussey.  He will be greatly missed by his wife of 38 years, Ina “Kay” Brisendine.  Survived by his brothers: Archie Thomas “Bud” Brisendine, Jr. (wife Jodie), Teddy Gene Brisendine (wife Mattie), his daughters: JoAnn Brisendine Carpenter (husband Ronald) & Teri Sue Jones (husband Frank), step sons: Terry P. Relin & Jay Turner, step daughters: Christy L. Mitchell & Sherri K. Bussey, grandchildren: Leslie Ann Hankins, Thomas Roy “Trey” Avant III, Stephanie Leigh Avant, Rory Joseph Avant, Brian Relin, Brandon LeBleu, Johnny LeBleu, Jaylee Guidry, Benjamin Bussey & Troy Bussey, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Ronnie loved life to the fullest and impacted people that he met with his kindness, generosity and positive perspective.  He will be missed dearly.  Funeral services to be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA on December 18, 2017 at 12 PM.  The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service.
