Ronald Darryl Janies

October 2, 1953 — March 25, 2017

Ronald “Ron” Darryl Janies, 63, of Sulphur passed away on March 25, 2017 in a local hospital. He proudly served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam Era. Ronald was of the Baptist faith, an artist, and a previous member of the Lake Charles Civic Symphony, playing the violin.

Ronald is survived by his two sons, Levi Janies of Santa Anna, CA and Derek Hart of West Monroe, LA; 2 brothers, Rick Janies and wife Susan of Sulphur, and Rodney Janies and wife Joan of San Diego, CA.; 3 nieces, Amy Byrd, Sarah Broussard, Tina Matte; and nephew, Adam Janies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Imogene Janies; and nephew, Clancy Janies.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 2 P.M. in Hamilton Cemetery in Grant, LA with Rick Janies officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
