Ronald "Ronnie" Lee

January 2, 1940 — May 25, 2025

Ronald Lee, of Ragley, Louisiana, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2025, after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer. Born on January 2, 1940, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Laddie and Betty Lee, Ronnie's life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and service.

A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ronnie was the heart of his family—his strength, compassion, and faith shaping each of their lives. He was married to his beloved wife, Billie (Craft) Lee, for 67 years. Together, they raised a family grounded in faith, humility, and grace.

Ronnie proudly served his country as a United States Marine. After his service, Ronnie began a long and fulfilling career at AT&T (formerly BellSouth), working diligently until his retirement in 1998. He was respected by his colleagues for his strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty, and he always approached life with a sense of responsibility and honor.

Though he excelled in many areas of life, it was the simple things that brought Ronnie the most joy—hunting in the great outdoors, tending to his garden, and, above all, spending time with his family and friends. He filled his home with love, laughter, and warmth. His faith was the bedrock of his life, and he was a faithful servant in his Baptist church. His unwavering belief in God was evident in the way he lived—constantly offering help and support to those in need, always ready to lend a hand to those who crossed his path.

Throughout his life, Ronnie also felt called to serve others beyond his immediate family. He participated in numerous mission trips, bringing both practical assistance and the love of Christ to people far and wide. His heart for others was as vast as his love for his family, and he made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Billie Lee; his sisters, Linda Edmonds and Janie Boudry (California); his brother, Mike Lee (Sulphur); his children, Lynette Monteith (Kevin), Dynette Cooley (Leroy), Cheryl Hoffpauir (Tatus), and Rhonda Miller (Jeff); his treasured grandchildren, Laura Vines, Benjamin Vines, Johnathan Vines, Elaina Cooley, Ashley Rozas, Jared LaFleur, Sam Miller, and Case Miller; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laddie and Betty (Greenleaf) Lee, and his siblings, Kenneth Lee, Mark Lee, and Steven Lee.

Ronnie's life was defined by his deep love for his family, his tireless service to others, and his unshakable faith. He was a quiet hero to all who knew him, embodying strength, kindness, and humility in everything he did. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." – 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)
