With hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Ronny Lovett, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 9:10 PM.

Ronny's life was a demonstration of what God can do through a believer who trusts in Him. His walk was a reflection of his deep and sincere love for Jesus. He didn't just read the Scriptures, he lived them. His quiet faith, evident in the way he treated others, touched countless lives, many of whom will never fully know the depth of his generosity or the reach of his kindness.

He was a man deeply amazed by the goodness of God and continually sought to share that amazement through compassion, service, and humility. He found so much joy in blessing others. Though he gave abundantly, he never sought recognition or praise; he aspired more for his reward in heaven.

Those who knew Ronny will remember his gentle spirit, steady faith, and open hands. His impact on his family, friends, church, and community will continue to bear fruit in the lives he helped shape, often in quiet, unseen ways. Ronny loved his R & R family and The Vineyard Lake Charles family with a whole heart.

Ronny leaves behind, his beloved wife, Peggy Hooper Lovett; his children, Wayne Lovett (Jennifer) and their three children; Veronica Davison (Bryan) and their three children; Stephanie Pope (Joey) and their five children; Stephen Lovett and his two children; Scotty Lovett (Nicola and Allie Beth); Nikki Bailey and her son, Ethan Deshotel; and Michael Hooper (Shelby); his siblings, Terry Lovett (Jackie); Gary Lovett (Ginger); and SanDee Lovett Brookins; his brother-in-law, Aaron Robertson (Kim) and their three children; his sisters-in-law, Tammy Chaumont (Anthony) and their one child, Sondra Sonnier (Kurt) and their three children, and Penny LeBleu (Mamou) and their three children; and his fur babies, Hunter, Millie Jane, Shadrach & Meshach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jehu Nathaniel and Gwendolyn Wood Lovett; and his brother, Nathaniel Lovett, Jr.

Ronny longed for heaven and frequently spoke of the tasks he hopes the Lord has for him there. We rejoice knowing that he now abides in the presence of the Savior he so deeply loved.

"My family members were a big part of Ronny's life. My mom and dad were his best friends, for real :) Mack and Earline Hooper, both deceased; his "Sister-in-Loves," Tammy Chaumont (A.J. & 1 child), Sondra Sonnier (Kurt 7 3 children), Penny LeBleu (Mamou & 3 children), and Joy Miller (Danny & 2 children)."

To all the Hooper family... Thank you for loving Ronny and celebrating Easter Holidays in Big Lake, LA with us!

According to Ronny's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
