Ronnie White, 80, of Sulphur passed away on December 23, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his family. He proudly served his country in the U S Navy as a ship machinist and was of the Baptist faith. Ronnie lived in the Sulphur area for over 50 years and was employed and retired from Citgo Refinery as a machinist. He loved being outdoors, fishing, and making his own bait. Ronnie could fix anything and was always glad to extend a helping hand to others.
Ronnie is survived by his three children, Steven White (Pam) of Sulphur, Darren White (Julie) and Kevin White (Maggie) both of DeQuincy; 8 grandchildren, Keri Leger, Ashley Mesa (Josh), Amanda Rebert (Chad), Whitney Garza (Frank), Garrett White (Katherine), Clint White (Desire’e), Claire White, and Kathryn White; 9 great grandchildren, Keighly, Kolby, Allyssa, Christopher, Wesley, Chad, Gracie, Abbigail, and Charliegh; 2 sisters, Faye Mickle and Sherry A. Renfrow; numerous sister-in-laws; nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Eastwood White; father, Charles B. White; mother, Minnie Alma White; and 2 brothers, Charles B. White, Jr. and Kenneth Ray White.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4-9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Big Woods Cemetery with Rev. Roland Hebert and Rev. Bruce Austin officiating under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family wished to express their gratitude to Dr. Brian Stewart and staff as well as Brighton Bridge Hospice for their care for their father.
