Rosa Belle A. Begnaud

Lacassine – Rosa Belle A. Begnaud, 88, passed away in a local care facility on September 5, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Rosa Belle was born in Pine Island on January 9, 1928 to the late Mark Ardoin and Augustine Chaisson. She enjoyed gardening, Cajun dancing, listening to French music and taking care of her home. Rosa Belle was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Ray Begnaud of Lacassine; daughter, Carolyn Begnaud Guillory and husband Kenneth of Lacassine; sister, Wilma Miller and husband Curtis of Lake Arthur; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence John Begnaud; siblings, Aliza Manuel, Lawrence Ardoin, John Edward Ardoin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lacassine with the Rev. Father Charles McMillin officiating on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
