Rosa A. Brockes, 61, of Lake Charles died at 11:50 AM Sunday, April 3, 2011 in her residence.
Mrs. Brockes was a life long resident of the Lake Charles area. She was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and attended dental school. In her spare time, she loved reading, spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Robert Dale Brockes, one son Byron Scott both of Lake Charles, one daughter Monica Brockes Smith and husband David of Sulphur, father Pierre Lavergne, two brothers Ronnie and Glenn Lavergne all of Lake Charles, three grandchildren Gayle Merrill, Shelby and Garret Smith.
Mrs. Brockes donated her body to science to help search for a cure for Ovarian Cancer. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
