Rose “Pestosh” Boudreaux, born in Creole on September 10, 1934, daughter of the late Clifford and Eve Theriot Landry, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of eighty-nine.
Pestosh was an avid gardener, excellent cook and was a salesperson for Avon for several years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and attended St. Mary of the Lake after Hurricane Rita. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Preston Boudreaux; children, Cheryl Theresa Boudreaux, Ramona Boudreaux Saltzman, and Eric “Zydeco” Boudreaux; siblings, Maxine Miller, and Emerline Miller.
The survivors are her grandsons, Shannon “Shanno” Saltzman, Brendon “Red” Boudreaux, and Dustin Boudreaux, and nine great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Catholic Life Center on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Jerish George, M.O.C., Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Creole under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in the Life Center beginning Wednesday from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., with a rosary recited by the Court St. Katharine Drexel, Creole, at 6 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
