Rose Mary Leger

Rose Mary Leger, 81, passed away on December 20, 2018.

Ms. Leger is a 1955 graduate of LaGrange High School. She worked at Bell South/ AT&T until her retirement after forty years of service. Ms. Leger was an officer in the Communications Workers of America Union and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a parishioner, Lay Minister, and Catholic Daughter at St. Margaret Catholic Church. She is remembered as a very independent woman that loved her nieces and nephews very much.

She is survived by three sisters, Olite Arceneaux, Evelyn Johnson, and Betty Gaspard; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Agnus Leger; brother, LJ Leger, two sisters, Eva Dale Broussard, and Rita Breaux; two nieces, Phyllis Arceneaux, and Tina Landry; nephew, Lester Paul Gaspard; and her dear friend, Beryl Marcantel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 26 at 1PM. The Very Reverend Marcus Johnson VF will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 10AM until 12:30PM with a rosary at 11AM.
