Rose Katherine Tower

Nov 25, 1947 — Aug 4, 2026

Lake Charles, Louisiana

Rose Katherine "Rosie" White Tower, born on November 25, 1947, passed away on August 4, 2026.

Rosie, the daughter of John Homer and Rose “Sis” (Vincent) White, was raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After graduating high school from St. Charles Academy, she spent five years in religious life as a Sister of Incarnate Word in Houston, Texas. She then attended St. Thomas College and Dominican College in Houston, where she studied business administration. She then went on to work at St. Mary’s Orphanage in Lafayette, Louisiana, before joining her family’s business, H. White Construction.

While working there, she met the love of her life, Wendell “Dub” Tower. They married in 1974 and welcomed their son, Joseph “Joey” Michael, in 1977. In the early '80s, she co-founded The Boarding House Catering with her mother and dear family friend, Robert Young, then went on to manage it alongside her sister, Molly, until its closing in 2020.

She found her greatest joy with family and friends around a kitchen table. She also enjoyed tea time, Crusin' the Coast, fishing at Toledo Bend, and testing her luck on slot machines. She will be remembered for her generous heart, warm embrace, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose (Vincent) and John Homer White, Sr.; her siblings, Marie “Butch” Vartuli, John “Johnny” White, James “Jimmy” White, and Veronica “Pookie” White; and her grandson, Alexander Tower.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 52 years, Wendell “Dub” Tower, Jr.; her son Joseph “Joey” Tower and his wife Kimberlee; her grandchildren, Lisa and Jaid Tower, Kylee, Kenslee, and Conley Easley; her sisters, Patricia “Trish” White, Molly (White) Jackson, and Nanette White; her foster sister, Cora Caldwell; a large extended family and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
