Roy Anthony Goodfriend

Roy Anthony Goodfriend, 63, of Sulphur passed away on November 1, 2017 in his residence. He was a member of the Local 112 Insulators and Asbestos Union, and worked as an oiler on Harrah’s Casino Boat. Roy enjoyed bull riding, rodeos, fishing, watching the discovery channel and spending time with his grandbabies.

Roy is survived by his three children, Kristin Goodfriend, Justin Goodfriend, and Katelin Thibodeaux; 7 grandchildren, Sage and Dax Goodfriend, Roseliegh Thibodeaux, Genevieve Prudhomme, Spirit and Storm Braneff, and Fisher Dawsey; brother, Patrick Goodfriend; sister, Chyrel Young and husband Leeland; uncle, A.J. Goodfriend and wife Pat, and Joseph Goodfriend and wife Charlotte; aunt, Connie Young; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Doris Goodfriend; and his brothers, Andrew and Terry Goodfriend.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcus Wade officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4, at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
