Ruby Bertha Boullard, born in Chataignier, Louisiana, on November 8, 1946, daughter of Fred and Edna (Fontenot) Leday, passed away after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the age of 76.
Ruby was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, especially her daylilies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and 5 siblings, Charley LeDay, Wilton LeDay, Werlin LeDay, Genevieve Sibley, Georgia Norling.
Survivors are her husband, Ogden Joseph Boullard; children, Monique Chapman (Fredrick), Danny Boullard (fiancé, Daphne), Roxanne Brown (Dean), Tony Boullard, Joseph Boullard (Chelsey), and Brian Boullard (Calena); siblings, Rose Todd, Regis Ledet, Raymond Leday, and Shirley Blackmon; 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Louisiana on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. Deacon Wayne Chapman, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, 8348 Highway 190 E, Opelousas) (community of Mallet), Louisiana under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Louisiana. Visitation begins Saturday from 9 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m.
