Lake Charles-Russell Barrios, 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on May 13, 1957, he was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High. He proudly served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U. S. Army as a Military Policeman. He continued to work steadily with private security companies throughout his life. Russell enjoyed rooting for the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints and his beloved Houston Astros. He also enjoyed watching the Food Network.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Lucy Arabie Barrios; daughter, Ashley; son-in-law, Troy and a granddaughter, Zoee, along with step-son, Corey Passant and step-daughter, Sytania Racca and step grand-son, Kayden. Also five brothers, Danny, Jay, Wayne, Ronald and Scott, as well as three sisters, Lou, Peggy and Elaine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Barrios and a brother, Stevie. With Russell’s passing, our world is a lot less colorful and animated.
