Russell "Rusty" Horton

Russell “Rusty” Horton, 62, of Choupique passed away peacefully with his family at his side on October 15, 2016 in West Cal-Cam Hospital. Rusty was employed at Olin/Lyondell for 32 years. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.Rusty loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Rusty is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Beth Weber Horton of Choupique; his four children, Russ Horton and wife Jessica of Lake Charles, Lindsay Duhon and husband Cory of Sulphur, Blair Gentry and husband Chris of Choupique, and Nathan Horton of Lake Charles; his 7 grandchildren, Jack Horton, Mia and Tanner Duhon, Zane, Kale, Jace, and Henley Gentry; his parents, Enid and Theron Horton of Sulphur; his 2 sisters, Cathy Dever and husband Joe and Terry Crow and husband Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 2 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Luke Krzanowski, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on October 17, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral until time of leaving for the church.
