It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Matamoras Circello, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world on August 9, 2026, at the age of 82. Ruth was born on February 17, 1944, in Galveston, Texas, and spent her later years in Sulphur, Louisiana, where she became a pillar of her community.Ruth was a dedicated member of Lifepoint Church, where she found joy and camaraderie among friends. She was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, often sharing her love through the generous meals she cooked, especially her famous gumbo that brought family and friends together. Ruth's love for life was evident in her endless laughter during Skip-Bo games, her affectionate care for her two dogs, Precious and Nova, and her deep commitment to her faith, often seen reading her Bible with reverence.The moments Ruth cherished the most were those spent with her grandchildren, enjoying breakfast together at Cracker Barrel and embracing their visits with joy. Ruth's legacy of love and commitment will be carried forward by her sons, Craig Constance, and Sterling Constance (Charlene), her grandchildren-Jimmy L. Constance III, Ernest L. Constance, Travis L. Constance, Emily Page Constance, Lynn Russell-and her great-grandchildren, James L. Constance, Cannon Arnold, and Jace Russell. She also leaves behind her honorary daughter, Evelyn Delagarza.Ruth is preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy L. Constance Sr., and her second husband, Vincent Circello. She was also preceded by her son, Jimmy L. Constance Jr., her daughter-in-law, Darlene Constance, her brother, Ruben Matamoras, and her loving parents, Ester Vargas and Timothy Rios Matamoras.The family will honor Ruth's life with a funeral service at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur on August 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A public viewing will take place on August 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.As we remember Ruth Matamoras Circello, let us celebrate the love she spread and the lives she touched. May her spirit continue to inspire kindness and joy in all of us as we carry her memory in our hearts.
