Samuel Benedict Carpenter

Samuel Benedict Carpenter, 72, passed away on November 28, 2018 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Carpenter was born and lived in Lake Charles most of his life. Sam is remembered as a loving father and husband.

Sam is survived by his wife, Wanda Carpenter of Sulphur; daughter, Hope Miller; son, Trent Carpenter and wife, Angie, all of Sulphur; four granddaughters, Jennifer Carpenter and husband, Blaine, of Kinder; Taylor LeDoux, and husband, Dustin, of Ragley; Hailey Carpenter, and Aubrey Carpenter; two great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Wheat, of Kinder, and Riley LeDoux of Ragley; step grandson, Ian Black of Sulphur; four sisters, Priscilla Nassar of Sulphur; Lillie Veronie of Lake Charles, Rebecca Mettz of Texas, Leisha Bourque of Sulphur; and brother, Kyle Carpenter, of Sulphur.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam (Buddy) and Lillie Carpenter; daughter, Monique Rene’ Carpenter; brother, Sherwood Carpenter Sr.; great granddaughter, Jessica Wheat; and great grandson, Landon Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at 1PM on Friday, November 30. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will on Friday from 10AM until 12:30PM. A rosary will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:30AM.
