Sandra L. Deshotel

Sandra L. Deshotel, born in Lacassine on March 11, 1946, passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Wilma Rose (Hebert) Myers.

Sandra was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Sandra worked out of the home after her children were raised as an associate in sales. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors are her husband of 58 years, Paul Ray “Red” Deshotel, Sr.; sons; Timothy John Deshotel (Nicole), Paul Ray Deshotel, Jr.; daughter, Christine Deshotel Klang (Daniel); sister; Patsy Monceaux; brothers; Curly Myers, James Myers, Kenneth Myers; Cindy, who is like a daughter to Sandra; grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, April, Emily, Brenden, Jerrald.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald Deshotel; sisters, Joann Myers, and Margaret Myers.

Funeral services are Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in East Ridge Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Bro. Alan Weishampel officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Friday, March 10, 2023 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue in East Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m.
