Sandra Dee Drost, loving wife, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on June 4, 1944, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She peacefully departed this world on January 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family and community.Dee, as she was affectionately known, spent her life nurturing her family and filling their lives with warmth and joy. She was a devoted housewife, known for her exceptional cakes and planting beautiful vibrant flowers, which she cultivated with care and love. Her passion for life was contagious, and she always found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was a day at the beach or spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Dee had a heart of gold, always volunteering at local schools and her church, and she was a beloved confidante to many; she never hesitated to lend an ear or offer guidance, no matter the time of day. Family was at the center of her world; she never missed celebrating a birthday or anniversary, ensuring her loved ones always felt special and cherished.She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Charles Richard Drost III, and her four beloved children: Scott Drost (Darla), Staci Overton (Chris), Darin Miller (Aledia), and Richard Joe Miller. Dee also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Weightman Dee and Frances Isabell Harmon, and her sisters, Jackie and Jill. A memorial gathering to honor Dee's remarkable life will be held on February 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org, continuing her legacy of compassion and dedication to others.As we gather to celebrate the life of Sandra Dee Drost, we will remember her laughter, her kindness, and the countless ways she enhanced our lives.
