Sandra Desadier Fournet

Mar 15, 1951 — Jul 18, 2026

Sandra Desadier Fournet passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 15, 1951, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Sandy dedicated her life to caring for others. She graduated from Lake Charles High in 1969 where she was a proud member of the marching group the Kilties. After earning her nursing degree from Sowela Technical College, she dedicated more than 30 years to serving patients and families at Texas Children's Hospital, where she was known for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering dedication. She is now reunited with her father, Thomas "Hoggie" Desadier, and joins him in eternal peace.

Sandy's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Fournet; her sons, Doug and Jason Fournet; her daughter, Erin Seidel; her mother, M.L. Desadier; her brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Desadier; and eight cherished grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life. Whether she was dancing, spending time with loved ones, or simply offering a listening ear, Sandy lived with generosity, warmth, and a selfless spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Sandy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the kindness, strength, and love she shared so freely throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a cancer research organization of your choice, honoring both her courageous fight and her lifelong desire to help others.
