Sandra Kay Fruge

Sandra Kay Fruge, 60, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born on October 9, 1965, to Edward and Lurline Fruge in Orange, Texas.

Every moment spent with Sandra was a reminder that life’s true measure is not in years, but in the lives we touch and the hope we leave behind. Sandra never met a stranger and always poured her love out to all of those around her. She lived life full of passion and without fear of letting you know just what she thought about you. Sandra loved spending time with her husband Mike, children, and grandchildren. Sandra’s biggest passions were doing for others and tending to her many plants.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her children, Cheryl Roy Delahoussaye (Aaron) and Truett Chessher (Megan); her grandchildren Jessie, Andi, Ella Mae, Mckenzie, and Aria, husband; Mike Young, siblings; Curtis Collins ,Boogie LaFosse, Patsy McCosh, Chistine Mitchell, Lizzy Fruge, Rebecca Wade, Robin Duhon, Raymond Granger, Rusty Granger, and Ronald Granger, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur Chapel, 107 W. Napoleon St., with Rev. Lee Tilton presiding. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
