Sandra Jean Mullett, 84, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 in a local hospital. She was born on October 17, 1939, in Massillon, Ohio, to Louis and Eleanor Kelch Maxwell.
A 1957 graduate of Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, WV, Sandra went on to attend Marshall University where she graduated in 1959 with an Associate’s Degree. After college she worked as an Administrative Assistant for various companies including PPG and Ormet.
She was an active member of the United Methodist Women at St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed volunteering in the church office and participating in the Craft Circle and various other activities.
She was a devoted and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She always found great happiness in spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her sons, Mark Louis Mullett (Elizabeth) and Matthew David Mullett (Lisa); four grandchildren, Alexandra Moreno (Josh), Anna Mullett, Abby Smith (Hogan) and Madison Mullett; three great grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Keyser; nephews, Jim and John Keyser, Brother-in-Law Charles Mullett, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 63 years, David Eugene Mullett.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends on Saturday, October 28, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Inurnment services at St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
