Sandra Rae "Sissy" Spears was born on December 5, 1968 in Oakdale, Louisiana, the daughter of John Ray and Joye Brannon Spears and passed away August 26, 2017 in Fenton, Louisiana.
She was a graduate of Sowela Technical College and attended McNeese State University and was a nurse for twenty years. Sissy enjoyed playing games on her phone, listening to music and being outside enjoying the warm sunshine.
She is survived by her mother, Joye Brannon Spears of Fenton; daughters, Loni LaPoint (John) of Lake Charles, Laikyn Miller of Welsh; sister, Jill Holland of Iowa; brothers, Michael and Kenneth Spears of Basile; grandchildren, Jordan, Leah & Alyssa.
Her father, John Ray “Johnny” Spears preceded her in death.
Funeral services are Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Don Willis officiating. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery at a later date. Visitation begins Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
