Sara Dennison

Sara Dennison, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away in the early morning of September 19, 2026, at the age of 84, just days before her 85th birthday. She was born on September 28, 1941, in Sardis, Mississippi.

Sara devoted 25 years to the children of Calcasieu Parish schools, first as a teacher and then as a school psychologist. She was a woman of deep faith, worshipping at First Presbyterian Church and later at St. Andrew's, and she gave herself generously in service to her community, helping many along the way.

She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Moss. She is survived by her three sons, John, Mark, and Jim Moss, and her five grandchildren, Isabella, Kira, Parker, Cooper, and Colby. A beautiful woman inside and out, she will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 4020 Hodges St., Lake Charles, LA 70605. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
