Sara Nicole Marcantel George, born in Sulphur on December 3, 1982, daughter of James “Jimmy” Randall and Janice Marie (Gradoville) Marcantel, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the age of 38.

Sara attended Iowa High School and was a graduate of Parkview High School. She worked at Citgo. She was baptized at East Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed scrap booking, singing, dancing, and listening to music. Sara never met a stranger, and you knew when she was in the room. She enjoyed being with family and friends. Her family and friends will miss her infectious laugh, smile, and spirit.

Sara is survived by her parents; children, Brycen Miller; Kylie Combs and her father, Jessie Combs; Alayna George and stepson, Caimen George, and their father, Christopher George; siblings, Lori Marcantel; Randi Taylor (Nick); Jeremy Marcantel (Melody); Johnny Keill; Danielle Keill; Jennifer Cassisa; special nieces & nephews, Morgan, Mason Comeaux; Madden “Fatty” Gartman; Kyler Taylor; Kennedy Taylor; Kasen Taylor, and Arianna Marcantel; and numerous other nieces and nephews; paternal grandmother, Wanda Marcantel; best friends, Maureen “Reenie” Bertrand; Dosha Fuselier; god-son, Gregory Banks; close friend, Jessica McHugh and her daughter, Remi Kohl. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Eddith & Jack Davis; paternal grandfather, Burley Marcantel.

Private services were held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, with Rev. Alan Weishampel officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
