Sarah Alyse Bertrand

Sarah Alyse Bertrand, 29, was called home to meet her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.  Sarah was born and raised in Lake Charles and is a 2006 graduate from A. M. Barbe High School.

Sarah enjoyed learning about the science of plants and animals and loved spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and gardening.  She had a passion for animals, rescued many orphaned kittens, and enjoyed being a vet tech.  

Sarah was a loving and caring daughter, sister, and mother.  Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Sharlyn; brother Jacob and sister-in-law Heather; fiance Jean-Luc Montou, son Julian and stepdaughter Jane; grandparents Barnie and Emma Lou Robertson; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles, and grandparents, Anthony and Hattie Marie.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday, May 15 at Johnson Funeral Home on Lake Street in Lake Charles, LA with the service beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor Larry LaFleur will oversee the service.  Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hobo Hotel in Sarah's name.
