Scott Edward Magee, 66, of Sulphur, LA passed away November 20, 2025.
Scott was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. He was a graduate of Sulphur High School and Sowela Technical College. He worked as a Master TIG Welder until he retired in 2014. He was also a talented mechanic who enjoyed working on mechanical equipment, lawn mowers and small engines for family and friends. His passion was fishing as he looked forward to riding dirt bikes and fishing at San Rayburn and had been fishing Toledo Bend since it was first flooded. His greatest times were shared listening to music with gatherings of friends and rodeoing. Scott will be most remembered for his resourcefulness and willingness to open his door to friends and animals in need.
He leaves a legacy of his love for music of many genres to his children.
Scott was a man of faith and member of Houston River Baptist Church.
He leaves to honor his memory, three children, Candace Brianne Christian (Joshua) of Lexington, KY, Devin “D.D.” Magee Cash (Andrew) of Sulphur and Scott Thomas “Bull” Magee of Pearland, TX; four grandchildren, Hayden Scheer, Lydia Cash, Cole Cash and Olive Christian; dear friend and companion, Dianne Allen of Sulphur; his “fur baby” dog, Sassy; brother, Loyd Randall Magee of Sulphur; sister, Mitzi Magee Guidry (Michael) of Sulphur; Bobbie Champagne (Dale) of Sulphur; three nieces, Amy Dayle Downs, Katherine Williams and Jennifer Ardoin; two nephews, Michael Dale Magee and Timothy Guidry and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Loyd Magee and Dora Swinney Magee and a brother, Jerry Craig Magee.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Dry Creek Cemetery followed by a Memorial celebration.
