Shandel Dwayne Broussard

Shandel Broussard, 49, of Lake Charles, passed away Monday March 30, 2015 at a local hospital with his family at his side. Mr. Broussard was born in Sulphur and spent most of his life in the Cameron and Johnson Bayou communities. He was a 1984 graduate of Johnson Bayou High School, a truck driver for Tri-Co and of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his children, Brandi Broussard and husband Grant, Joshua Broussard, Alexandrea Broussard, Kevin Vincent, and Seth Savant; grandchildren, Brayden Strenth and Easton Strenth; parents, Sterling and Alice Broussard; brother, Shase Broussard and nieces, Shalyn Broussard and Eden Broussard as well as numerous extended family. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday April 1, 2015 with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM and continue at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday April 2, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Chaplin Bart Leger officiating. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss.
