Sharon Faye Manuel

Sharon Faye Robertson Manuel, 62, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Manuel was born in Dequincy, LA and lived most of her life in the Westlake and Lake Charles area. She was a graduate of Westlake High School and studied accounting and nursing in Nebraska where she attained her CNA license. She worked her younger years as a CNA for nursing homes and later years as a Housekeeping Supervisor for local hotels. Mrs. Manuel loved to dance and play bingo. She attended St. John Baptist Church. Mrs. Manuel will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Becci Logan and husband Ben of Lake Charles, Shirley Manuel of Lake Charles, Richard Manuel of Yankton, SD and James Frieze and wife Sharla of Groves, TX; seven grandchildren; father, Howard C. Robertson; two brothers, Donald Robertson and wife Sherry and Doug Robertson and wife Carolyn and one sister, Diane Olivier and husband Jimmy, all of Westlake. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Faye Robertson. In respect of Mrs. Manuel's wishes, services will be a private family gathering.
