Sharon Williams, of Iowa, born on April 25, 1948 in Lake Charles, daughter of the late William Arthur Midgett and Laramie Peshoff, passed away in her residence, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the age of 74.
Sharon attended Morgan City High and was a member of Iowa First Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving the Lord, her church, and spending time with her family. Sharon was a lover of many things, God, family, yellow roses, and butterflies, are just to name a few. She also enjoyed decorating cakes, playing cards, and Macrame. She loved studying the bible, teaching scripture to others; she also provided support for church mission trips and mentored Girls in Action. Sharon dedicated her life to others needs and always chose to help others before herself, this was a defining factor of her wonderful life. She was a great friend to many, sure, steady, trustworthy and dependable.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Anthony Williams, Sr.; parents, and sister, Constance Midgett Hacker.
Sharon is survived by her children, Gary Anthony Williams, Jr. (Darlene), Anjanette Bellard (Brandon), Robert Midgett; sister, Angela Berard (Louis); grandchildren, Gary Anthony “Trey” Williams, III; Sydney Ann Williams; Drake Kyle Williams (Caitlyn); Noah Bryce Bellard; Devaney Noel Bellard; Zachary Glade Bellard; great-granddaughters, Raegan Elise LeJeune and Callie Mae Williams.
A Gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brandon Olivier officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
