Shawn Thibodeaux

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shawn Anthony Thibodeaux, who left us on October 14, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on February 12, 1969, in Church Point, Louisiana, Shawn spent many of his years in Sulphur, where he was known not just as a devoted husband and brother, but also as a craftsman and friend to many. Shawn was a man who poured his heart into everything he did. He spent his working years as an operator in the construction industry. Outside of work, he had a creative side that shone through in his passion for drawing and woodworking. His hobbies weren't just for him, though; he was known for fixing bicycles for all the kids in the neighborhood, spreading joy and laughter in the community. Shawn is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Thibodeaux, his son, Taelor Thibodeaux, daughter, Ashley Jennings, his brothers, Maury Thibodeaux and Lane Galloway, his nieces and nephews, Caison and Conner, and his like a son, Dakota Martin. They will undoubtedly miss his kind spirit and the way he brightened up each day. Shawn was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Thibodeaux and Judy Gautreaux Boudreaux, and his nephews, Kirchston and Kylar.

The family is honoring his wishes of cremation under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.
