Shelby Winn, Jr.

Shelby Winn, Jr., 66, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 2:15 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. Winn was born June 8, 1951 in Eunice, LA and lived in the Lake Charles area for the past forty-five years. He worked for Morgan Roofing for over thirty years and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Shelby had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back; he will be dearly missed.

Mr. Winn is survived by his son, Robert Winn of Grand Lake; daughter, Brandy Mahurin and husband Ken, also of Grand Lake; two grandchildren, Brianna and Trawick Mahurin; and numerous brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Courville Winn; and parents, Mable and Shelby Winn, Sr.

His memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Vineyard of Lake Charles. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Fellowship will follow the service at the church.
