Sherian Kay Powe

Sherian Kay Powe, 65, of Westlake, LA was born on June 8, 1960, in Kinder, LA to John and Billie Ann Dubois.

Sherian loved her CWC church family of Sulphur and adored her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, cruises, and helping anyone in need. Sherian loved watching SUV and Criminal Minds on TV. Sherian and her best friend Rae Woodruff loved spending time together and doing girl things as a pair.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 49 years, George Powe; two children, Rob Powe fiancé Michelle Thibodeaux and Paul Powe and fiancé Jennifer Michelle Bennett; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Helen Fontenot and Delores Sandt; 1 brother, John David Dubois Jr.; and loving father, John David Dubois Sr.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Ann Dubois; 2 sisters, Annie Joyce Vickers and Rita Ann Dubois; and 1 grandson, Tyler Michael Powe.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Celebration Worship Center in Sulphur. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, July 11, 2025, at Celebration Worship Center in Sulphur. Visitation will resume from 8:00 AM until time of services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Pilley Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. Pastor David Moseley will officiate services.
