Sherri Moreau, born in Lake Charles on April 13, 1970, daughter of James Robert Harris and Mary Jo Bayless Norris Shockley, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the age of fifty-four.
A graduate of Forney High School, Sherri attended Sowela Technical College and obtained a masters degree in the Culinary Arts.
She and her husband, Tim, were members of St. John the Evangelist Church in Lacassine, where she was a Catholic daughter.
Sherri enjoyed music, animals, reading, cooking and shopping. She volunteered for different organizations and enjoyed making a difference.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Robert Harris; stepfather, Cecil “CJ” Shockley, and father-in-law, Rodney Moreau.
Survivors are her loving husband of twenty-nine years, Timothy W. Moreau; children, Anna Moreau, and Logan Moreau; mother, Mary Jo Shockley; sister, Darlene Kay Harris (Mike Lognion); mother-in-law, Gladys Moreau, and brother-in-law, Glenn Moreau (Jack Heffington).
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lacassine on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins on Monday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and resume Tuesday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
