Shianne Nicole Syed

Shianne Nicole Syed, 28, passed away on July 28, 2026. Born on August 25, 1997, Shianne lived a life defined by compassion, laughter, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community.

Shianne was the beloved daughter of Shawnna Duplechian and Toby Alan Fuslier, and the cherished stepdaughter of Scott Duplechian. She was a devoted wife to Nazim Syed and a loving mother to her precious daughter, Adhara Syed, who was the greatest joy of her life.

She is also survived by her loving sisters, Gracelyn Duplechian, Karly Duplechian, and Baily Whatley, along with many extended family members, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness.

Shianne was a dedicated mental health professional who devoted her life to helping others find hope, healing, and strength. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), and founder of her own counseling practice. Her passion for supporting individuals through life's challenges reflected the compassion and empathy that defined who she was.

Her commitment to learning and serving others was evident throughout her education. She graduated from Westlake High School in 2016, earned her Associates in Behavioral Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from McNeese State University in 2019, and completed her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University in 2022.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shianne found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she loved. Whether she was enjoying a night out with friends, encouraging family members, or simply being present for those who needed her, she gave of herself wholeheartedly. Above all, she treasured her roles as a wife and mother.

Those who knew Shianne will forever remember her radiant smile, beautiful laugh, impeccable comedic timing, and signature deadpan humor that could brighten even the darkest day. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

For the past three years, Shianne was a devout Muslim whose faith brought her peace, purpose, and guidance. She embraced her beliefs with sincerity and carried those values into every aspect of her life through kindness, generosity, and compassion for others.

Shianne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty and Rodney Duplechian, her great-grandmother, Mary Lou Adkins, and many more welcoming her.

Though her time with us was far too short, the love Shianne gave so freely and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on. Her legacy of compassion, laughter, resilience, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

May her memory be a source of comfort and her legacy continue to inspire all who loved her.
