Shirley Ann Rennier

Shirley Balentine Rennier passed at 4am, 11-20-2018, she was 82. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, LaVerne Joseph Rennier. She is survived by her children, John, Michael, Patricia, and Joseph Rennier, Karen Woodruff, and Damiana Moody. She had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Affectionately known for her deep love for her husband and family, Shirley worked over three decades with those who required compassionate care. She worked at a convalescent hospital as a Kitchen Mgr. where she delighted in preparing delicious and savory food to senior citizens. She said, "You eat with your eyes," and her skills remarkably improved the appetites and health of the patients. After moving to Cheneyville, LA, she worked as a Cottage Mgr. with severe needs adults at Pinecrest State Hospital for over twenty years. She was active in the Catholic church reading scripture/rosary with Legion of Mary for those unable to attend. She was an Eastern Star in the Masonic organization and an avid bowler earning a 600 pin jacket. Her love and kindness will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Services to be held at a later date.
