Iowa – Shirley R. Bebee, 79, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 in a local care facility surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born at home in Hecker on March 8, 1937 to the late Jake and Eva (Reed) Hebert. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Fenton and was a school cafeteria worker at Fenton High School for a short time before becoming a school bus driver for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her son, Dale Bebee and wife, Cheryl of Buller Community; daughter, Montez Fontenot and husband, Don of Kinder; nephew, Val Ryan and wife, Joy & their 2 daughters; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Marvin Bebee; parents; infant, Melissa Ruth Bebee; great-grandson, Jordan Aucoin; sister, Teresa Ryan and brother-in-law, James “Jim” Ryan and great nephew Scott Ryan.

A Mass of Christian burial is Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borremo in Fenton with Father Rojo Antony officiating. Burial will follow in Hebert Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Monday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary & scripture service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Mr. Stelly & the staff of Landmark Nursing Home for the compassion, kindness & love shown to our loved one while she was residing there. They also send their heartfelt thanks to Brighton Bridge Hospice. The last 2 weeks of her life were made easier for all of us by their generous support.
