Shirley J. Williams Guillory

Shirley Jean Williams Guillory, 78, was born to the late Wallace and Bertha Hart Williams on January 27, 1938. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Frank Lee Guillory and a son, Vinece Allen Guillory.

Shirley departed this life on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 2:15 PM. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Isaiah Thibodeaux. She worked several jobs cleaning houses, working at Lake Charles Country Club and finally became a full-time homemaker.

She had been married to Frank for forty-seven years at the time of his death. There were eight children born to the loving couple. She leaves to mourn, four sons, Franklin Guillory, wife Shirley Diane of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Terry J. Guillory, Sr., wife Jennell Brignac, Arthur Lee “Gus” Guillory, both of Lake Charles and Gary “Stitch” Guillory, wife Keesha Armstrong of Westlake; three daughters, Arlene “Mandy” Guillory Nora of Euless, TX and Nelda G. Guillory and Lisa D. Guillory, both of Lake Charles, eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; family friends, Isaac Predium, Madeline Breaux Guillory and Yesenia Rivera and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Robert Owens will officiate. Interment will follow in Hi-Mount Cemetery. Visitation Friday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
