Shirley Martin Garrett, 78, of Sulphur passed on March 12, 2017 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Westlake. Shirley enjoyed reading, traveling, and shopping. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Shirley is survived by her five children, Larry Garrett and wife Pam of Geismar, LA, Charlotte Schexneider of Sulphur; Kenneth Garrett and wife Rhonda of Merryville, LA, Lisa East and husband Joe of Alexandria, VA, and Sherry Wolbrink and husband Brett of Sulphur; 9 grandchildren, Adam, Alaina, Scotty, Trista, Jean, Cori, Kevin, Emily, and Matthew; 6 great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ty, Lillian, Dalton, Megan and Lily; 3 siblings, Billie Weeks, Jeraldine Thomas both of Willits, CA, and Hilda Hightower of Abilene, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Garrett; and her parents, Benjamin and Lena Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. at Johnson and Robison with visitation continuing on Thursday, March 16 at 8 A.M. until time of the service.
