Sidney "Sid" Guidroz, Jr.

Sidney “Sid” Guidroz, Jr. passed away from this world unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2024 at his home in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

All who know him loved his kind spirit and giving heart. Sid loved to watch women’s softball, especially the Northwestern, LA (ULM) Demons and, of course, everything LSU. He was a Lake Charles High School Wildcat, Class of 1980, and went on to attend McNeese State University, LSU-A and Northwestern LA University. Sid was a beekeeper and was also a solid golfer and lifelong fisherman.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Fay Thrasher, his brother, Kane Mitchell, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Sidney J. Guidroz, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel, located at 4321 Lake Street. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
