Stacy Lynn Simon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stacy Lynn Simon, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on August 28, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on October 25, 1974, in Lafayette, LA, Stacy was a vibrant soul who brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her.

Stacy graduated from South Cameron High School. She was known for her friendly demeanor and the kindness she showed to all she crossed paths with.

Stacy's true passion was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren: Piper, Frankie, Andersyn, Hunner, Addilynn, Karsyn, Korbyn, Kohen, Briggs, and Mateo. She embraced every moment spent with them, sharing her love of crafting, scrapbooking, and shopping. Her generous spirit and her love for Dr. Pepper were constants that brightened many family gatherings, and she often enjoyed these moments in the company of her best friend, Tanya Trahan. 

Stacy is survived by her devoted companion, Jermey Myers, and her children: Jimmy Dowd (Whitney), Dylan Dowd (Melissa), Tory Medina (Eli), Taylor Guillory, and Spencer Guillory (Brooklynn). She is also survived by her loving mother, Ezora Broussard (Henry), her siblings Becky Simms, Shannon Thibodeaux (Krystal), Tommy Sonnier, and Thelma January. She leaves behind her beloved pets, Ivee, Gus, and Dixie, who were also cherished members of her family.

In honor of Stacy's life and memory, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa. The gathering of friends will take place from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, and the memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa. Stacy will be lovingly remembered and honored by all whose lives she touched.

As we say our goodbyes, let us carry forward the love and compassion that Stacy shared with each of us, reminding us of the light she brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.

Stacy was preceded in death by her father, Raphael Doucet, her grandson, Ezekiel Guillory, and her grandparents.
